The Meadow School is a forest school educating preschool and homeschool students ages 4-8 located at Yost Park in Edmonds, WA. Nestled in a nurturing, multi-age learning community, students enjoy stories, games, hikes, free play, and more, through rich, meaningful activities that promote social-emotional learning, language development, mathematical understanding, and scientific principles. We use an emergent curriculum that is responsive to both students' needs and the opportunities the natural world provides. Students make friends, build important oral language skills like vocabulary and background knowledge, and develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to manage risk.
