The Meadow School
Where Learning Takes Root
Where Learning Takes Root
We are a small, local, family-owned forest school, educating preschool and elementary-aged children in the greater Seattle area.
Our mission is to help children grow into confident, joyful, well-rounded adults with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need to pursue their goals and lead meaningful lives.
The Meadow School is a forest school serving preschool and homeschool students, ages 4-8 located at Yost Park in Edmonds, WA. Nestled in a caring, multi-age community, students spend their days playing, hiking, and exploring, while participating in rich, meaningful activities that promote language development, mathematical understanding, and scientific principles.
Registration for The Meadow School for the 2027-28 school year will open soon. Contact us at kevin@meadowschool.org to be added to our mailing list and be among the first to know when registration opens.
During the 2026-27 school year, join us for adventures in nature when school is out of session. We will be running programs during Thanksgiving break, the first week of winter break, mid-winter break, and spring break. Through games, hikes, and stories, your child will learn about the natural world, make new friends, practice teamwork and build confidence, and probably get a little dirty! Open to students ages 4-10. Learn more and register!
Designed for students who have been diagnosed with dyslexia, are suspected of having dyslexia, or are struggling to learn to read for another reason, our personalized reading tutoring and intervention services help students become confident, successful, joyful, and lifelong readers and writers. Learn more and get started with a free consultation to discuss your child's reading development, learn about our reading intervention services and pricing, and schedule an assessment.
Get your kids outside and away from electronic devices with our Nature Adventure camps. Through hikes, games, stories, and challenges, children will make new friends, build important oral language skills like vocabulary and background knowledge, and develop resilience, teamwork, and the ability to assess and manage risk. Registration for the 2027 summer camp season will open in the new year. Contact us at kevin@meadowschool.org to join our mailing list and be among the first to know when registration opens.
